Title: Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Sex But Have Been Forced To Find Out
Author: Oolon Colluphid
Publisher: Not known
Source book: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams (H2G2 #2)
Of course, we already know Oolon Colluphid for his successful philosophical trilogy about God, but in Everything You Never Wanted to Know About Sex But Have Been Forced To Find Out he turns his attention to sex.
It is not clear whether Oolon sets out to give helpful advice such as ‘get yourself a new duvet cover’ and ‘on no account switch on the tv to catch up on the football halfway through’, or if it’s a bit more… technical.
Also featuring in The Restaurant at the End of the Universe is Life Begins at Five Hundred and Fifty, and The Big Bang Theory - A Personal View by Eccentrica Galumbits.
Plus obviously the Encyclopaedia Galactica. And The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy which remains more popular than most other books, sells more copies, and is more controversial too. The Guide used to tell you how to see the universe on less than 30 Altairian dollars a day but inflation has got slightly out of control since H2G2 and The Restaurant at the End of the Universe were written so it’s likely that A$30 will only buy you a coffee these days. If that.
