Eunice Henderson loves her obnoxious and domineering mother. Unfortunately, Mrs Henderson makes some unwise investments in the Megatherium Trust (which also features in the Lord Peter Wimsey books) and loses most of her money. To keep her mother in the style to which she was accustomed, Eunice secretly writes an extremely trashy novel and it sells surprisingly well.
Eunice is writing another book when we meet her. She has no illusions about her writing. She fully admits her books are rubbish. But that’s a style of book a lot of people enjoy.
After her mother is murdered, Eunice carries on writing. Because she’s good at it, and enjoys her success.
I tried to replace the original picture I used for this post. The image size was too small so it got all blurry and pixelated. However, when I tried to remove the picture, stupid blogger deleted the whole post. Rewriting something I wrote several years ago was not easy. I may have to add more details in the future.
