The Book of Magick of Alberto Malich
Title: The Book of Magick
Author: Alberto Malich
Publisher: not known, hand written
Source book: Mort by Terry Pratchett (Discworld #4)
The Book of Magick of Alberto Malich alerts Mort to the real identity of his co-worker Albert. He’s not just the handy cook and butler to Death and Death’s adopted daughter Ysabell, although he is that, but he’s also the wizard who lived two thousand years ago, founded Unseen University in Ankh-Morpork, and disappeared suddenly leaving nothing behind but his hat.
This is a sort of book of magical theory, according to the wizard Igneous Cutwell. He recommends that Mort not look too hard at the words, they resent it.
Also featured is The Monster Fun Grimoire which Igneous Cutwell, wizard and Royal Recogniser to Queen Keli of Sto Lat, consults when arranging her coronation. Queen Keli is dead. Or perhaps she isn’t dead. Whichever it is, she needs a wizard to remind everyone that she definitely isn’t dead.
In any case Cutwell needs to find out about fireworks for the coronation celebrations. And there’s an elephant.
