Title: Golde Diggers of 1589

Author: William Shakespeare

Publisher: Not known

Source book: Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophesies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

I have been a huge Terry Pratchett fan for years and years, and it’s devastating that he died so young and can’t bring us any more of the Discworld. I know there are fans who can’t bring themselves to read his last book because that will be the end. Maybe these are people who never reread anything? Some people make a really big deal about not rereading any books for no reason that I can comprehend.

Anyway... why haven’t I looked for a bit more Terry goodness by reading this collaboration with Neil Gaiman? I really ought to.

So, I believe Good Omens has several fictional books for us to discover including (I suppose) two plays: Golde Diggers of 1589 (I wonder if it features dance routines by the fabulous Busby Berkeley?) and The Trapping of the Mouse, both by William Shakespeare. Of course - who else?

Then we have Foodless Dieting: Slim Yourself Beautiful by Dr Raven Sable. That one’s probably best avoided.

And Buggr Alle this Bible and the Boys Own Book of 101 Things to Do. I had a book I absolutely loved when I was a child. It was called Something to Do. I don’t remember ever actually doing any of the suggestions, I wasn’t very adventurous and I didn’t have access to any tools, I just enjoyed reading about doing things.
