Worm That Eateth the Flesh by Sasha Menski
Frank Auerbach: thanks to Tate |
Author: Sasha Menski
Publisher: Not known
Source book: Pomfret Towers by Angela Thirkell (Barsetshire #6)
We learn absolutely nothing about Sasha Menski’s book Worm That Eateth Flesh, except that the dust jacket was designed by an artist called Bolikoff, a friend of the ghastly Julian Rivers.
As one of the characters in Pomfret Towers says “a jacket like that never sold a copy”. Perhaps the publisher should have gone with Frank Auerbach instead of Bolikoff?
See also Julian’s mother Hermione Rivers who is a successful romantic novelist.
