Miss Tick has written a book about a wide variety of fairies, both good and bad, but we only get to read her entry on the Nac Mac Feegles (also called Pictsies, the Wee Free Men*, the Little Men and Person or Persons Unknown, Believed to be Armed).
Miss Tick provides information on the History and Religion of her subjects, and Habits and Habitat.
The Nac Mac Feegle will steal anything that isn’t nailed down, and if it is nailed down they will steal the nails too. They have red hair and skin turned blue with tattoos, and can travel magically between worlds.
Miss Tick is a witch, and a witch finder, so she knows what she’s talking about.
*The Wee Free Men already had their own book by Terry Pratchett.
